Dell Inspiron Mini 10
Dell have now squeezed the new Mini 10 netbook in between the established Mini 9 and Mini 12. This new model will have a 10 inch screen and includes a touchpad that comes with ‘gestures’ to enable the user to navigate the screen using simple movements to rotate, scroll and zoom into documents and photos.
The processor is the Intel Z520
The Mini 10 comes installed with Windows XP Home but a Ubuntu Linux version will be released shortly. Also included will be an HDMI output, wireless 802.11 b/g or 802.11 Draft-N, built-in webcam, optional Bluetooth, 1GB RAM and a choice of 120GB or 160GB hard drives.
Along with obsidian black and alpine white the Mini 10 will be available in a further range of colours including cherry red, pretty pink, ice blue and jade green.
Future versions of the Mini 10 will include more optional features such as an internal digital TV tuner, optional mobile broadband, optional built-in GPS, up to 2GB RAM and 250GB hard drive.
